Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) is located in North Philadelphia and is currently seeking mission driven Speech-Language Pathologist applicants for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Esperanza Cyber Charter School Mission Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) prepares students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to meet the challenges of living creatively and productively in an increasingly technologically sophisticated and
interconnected world. ECCS will provide students with an academically rigorous, yet flexible, online learning program that tailors learning experiences to each child through a combination of curriculum choices and virtual and in-person tutoring and counseling. Students will explore career directions that coincide with their interests and strengths beginning at the earliest ages and will begin “majors” in particular career areas starting with the middle grades. ECCS is targeted toward underserved and at-risk students who have not always found success in traditional schools. ECCS places students on a pathway to post-secondary success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in speech-language pathology is required Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred PDE Certification School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required
Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws
Minimum of two years experience in an urban setting with high percentages of ELD and SPED students

Ability to reliably commute to building
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support diverse learners through initial evaluations, diagnosis, and treat students with varying degrees of speech impairments.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and provide diagnostic recommendations for students who require special education interventions within a time-sensitive period.
Work closely with the Special Education Coordinator in the identification of proposed IEP goals and treatment plans for each student.
Serve as the resident expert to school staff members regarding the development of a balanced program for oral communication, speech, language, and literacy development.
Collect and analyze data related to school improvement, student outcomes, and accountability requirements
Support teachers and families in identifying ways to differentiate instruction to provide increased opportunities for student engagement
SKILLS:
Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation
Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges in relation to the regular use of speech pathology tools
Commitment to supporting and empowering students with diverse backgrounds, including an understanding of at-risk children, gifted children, and children with disabilities.
Possess effective decision-making, managerial, communication, and organizational skills.
Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical
information
