The New York State Dept. of Corrections and Community Supervision is seeking the services of one speech pathologist at Cape Vincent Correctional. This will be a per diem position as services are needed.
Must possess a valid degree and required New York State licensure.
Duties to be performed include:
- Assessing and treating persons with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs
- Recommending and assisting in obtaining other services as deemed necessary
- May need to perform special education assessments and present findings to a Committee on Special Education
- May select and recommend alternative communication systems and teach their use
- May perform research related to speech and language problems and present results of such research
